Children. They are the life of the future. Without children the human race would die out. Children without education will also make the human race die out, although not as quickly. The good thing is that children can start their education as soon as they leave the womb. There are things you can do even before they are born, like read to them while in utero.

ChildrenÂ’s stories are designed by people who know that the education of a young person is the most important thing. They will create the story in such a way as to edify child. There are stories that are educational and some that are entertaining and some that entertain while educating. There are companies that specialize in creating stories that are all too perfect, always with a happy ending. However, as we all know, there are very few happy endings in life. I think that stories for kids should have more real life educational value. It is not the intention to scare them, but I think a dose of reality here and there would not hurt.

On the other hand, kids should also just be kids. The worries and troubles of adulthood are years away and the child should be protected for at least a little while. Let them worry about that when they get there. The books and stories we read to our children are beneficial to the child so that she will learn to associate words with meaning and know that she can trust the person reading the story. If the story is good then the child will learn that things are generally good in the world. She will learn of the violence and death in the world when she gets older.

It is terrible that there is violence and death in the world, and children will inevitably be exposed to it. The stories and books designed for children are usually designed to protect the child and expose them to the world a little at a time. I would like to increase that flow of real world realities also a little at a time. This way, by the time the child reached her teen years, she knows about more real world things and is more prepared for life. I grant that the way the child is parented (from the heart, yes) is also a factor, but storytelling and choice of books the child reads should also play a major factor.
