The other advantages is you will get a better feel as to whether you will be able to establish a connection with the child and you will know if there is a connection between the two of you. You can also match a child similar to you in appearances and behavior type. An older child can doing simple things for themselves, like take a bath, eat, or playing. So you do not need to give extra care like you adopt a baby. But you also still guide them in their new life.
