When looking at all the different potty’s available today it truly is no easy decision. I happen to be one of those people who feels the need to research things to death and being a parent who is getting ready to potty train for the first time it is important to me to look at both sides.
First and foremost consider what you are willing to put up with. Are you the kind of parent who despises the thought of cleaning out a potty? If yes then perhaps the potty training seat is the route for you to go as everything goes right into the toilet.
Secondly, consider the personality of your child. Does he or she have a fear of the “big” toilet? I have spoken with quite a few parents and friends whose child was so scared of the toilet or the sound of the toilet flushing. If this is your child then a potty training seat would not be a great idea unless you want to keep changing diapers for a long time.
As you can see with just these two tips, there is a lot to consider when it comes to potty’s. This is the single most important purchase of your potty training adventure so taking the time to consider all sides is very important.
