Teaching Your Child Not to Lie
December 18th, 2009Everyone has done it at some point in time. It may have only been to spare someone’s feelings. Yet children do not have the ability to discern a nice lie from a lie to benefit them. Being a good example is the first thing you need to do as a parent. Children are watching us continually, even when do not realize it. They are mimicking our words and actions. If you are on the phone telling someone you are too busy to help him or her, while you are sitting there watching the football game. Your child may have just witnessed you lying.
