Adderall XR provided a lot more revenue for the pharmaceutical company manufacturing it – in fact revenue shot up by 16.5% in the last quarter. Prescriptions for Vyvanse, another popular ADHD drug, rose by 102% this quarter compared to 2008. If we were to judge ADHD treatment efficacy just by the sheer profits they are generating, we might be fooled into thinking that these psychostimulant drugs must be the ideal cure for ADHD !
